Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

WDTV+Surround Sound+TV Setup

I'm setting up this for a friend. He has a plasma tv connected to his skyhd+ through hdmi cable. He has a surround sound system (sss) and I think, not 100% sure but he has this connected to the sky+ box with the red/yellow cables so he uses this for his sound. He bought a WDTV media center and wants this connected obviously to the tv but through the surround sound also. When I checked the sss it doesn't have an optical in audio. It does have an hdmi port.

He's using a hdmi switch at the moment to switch between the wdtv and sky+

Any ideas to get this working with sound? Much appreciated ;)

The WDTV Live has a setting to set the sound to go through optical or HDMI cable.

Good stuff, I thought you said Live but the old one works with sound over hdmi it just won't down mix DTS sound. Needs a live or a gen 2.
