Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hey,

Have been unemployed in Galway now since the summer and with no jobs in sight for my relevant field (payroll) I was thinking of taking on an accounts course to further my chances of getting a job down here....

I found a 6 weeks full time 20 hours per week diploma course in Finance that covers book-keeping, ledgers, final accounts etc...

My question is should I decide to do this course, will it have any effect on my JSB?? Keeping in mind that I would still be looking for work while doing the course but wouldnt be able to take anything full time til the course is finished....

Also I have heard that FAS can help with the cost of a course (up to €500) if it will help the person gain employment does anyone know anything about this???

Any information/help would be much appreciated!!!

    Thanks Sue
