Centra have 3 own brand firelogs for €5 at the moment. They're quite good.

Don't bother with their firepacks though... they're only €4.99 but they're crap.

Woodies have 2 Bord Na Mona Firepaks for a tenner.

And 5 Bord Na Mona Firelogs for a tenner.

Atlantic Homecare I think will do these deals too.

Why oh why do people think that Woodies are good value?????

Woodies are a complete and utter ripp off.

A bale of briquettes is over 4 euro from woodies or else 2 bales of briquettes from them is 7 euro 50 cents, and thats with a discount added.

Sure they are only 3 euro a bale from most builders providers, yet all the clueless folk and auld biddies think they are getting a great deal from woodies.

Or do what I did,buy in 2 pallets for 400 euro (184 bales).

Thanks all, I have to say I like the idea of 184 for 400, not a bad offer!
Where did you get those from paddy?

Just worth mentioning the facts.. those look like the Polish briquettes.

    Advantages:
Burn cleaner than the Bord na Mona ones and Less ash.
    They appear much cheaper

    Disadvantages:
They dont burn as hot as the Bord Na Mona ones.
Smaller bales and less weight is not comparing like with like...

Overall they are a good deal, its just a pity they are foreign and not a local product.

Well, this is my 2nd season of buying them in and all I will say is that they are very good to burn and do give great heat too.

They work very well for me.:)

I wouldnt buy anything from Woodies,as they are allways way overpriced, when compared to the local builders providers, who can sell the same briquettes, firelogs, firewood and coal at much lower prices.

3 hour burning time per bag.

Can I just make people aware that some of these ARE NOT to be burned in a stove.

It will state this on the back or sides of the packaging.

    So please read,before you buy.
