    Hi,

    I work in a massive company with sites all over world but there is no union within this company,

    However my problem is some people who work in the particular area which I do are being paid a salary and rest of us are being paid weekly wage which is considerably less than the wage ?

    Is this illegal ?

    no it all depends on what contract you signed but it highlights the somewhat reserved uses of a union

    we all had same contracts but then people were givin new salaried contracts with no extra qualifications ?

    The new signed salary contracts may have different conditions such as flexibility and having to be available when called upon, the fact that they signed different contracts (assuming under different terms) would make it legal I would imagine. Are you friends with anyone on a different contract, could you ask them what the different conditions are, or if there are any?

    If there is no difference in conditions, it really does outline the importance of being unionised
