Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello,

Pretty sure there isnt an (easy) solution for this, not that i can think of in any case.

I do have a couple of ext HDD, usb only, which i connect to a WD TV when i want to watch movies etc. In order to get data on the HDD it needs of course be plugged in on the PC.

Now here is the question, does anyone know a solution for not having to plug and unplug USB cables all the time?
Ideal would be something that "splits" the usb cable from the HDD to the WDTV and PC so that both could "see" the drive.

Only one device at a time can be in control of the USB drive, which makes sense if you imagine for example a scenario where both were writing to the drive at the same.

However there is a straighforward solution nonetheless, as it can be done with a USB Share switch like these which ensure only one PC/Media player at a time can talk to the USB device, usually they use either manual selection or else operate some sort of automatic 'first come, first served' strategy.
