    Just a little update from The Model on some of the upcoming music gigs at The Model:

    • Halves, Fri Nov 5th, 8.30pm. (€15) "a gorgeous, tranquil wash of glazed ambience and dreamy guitar noise"...Onlookers will not forget that, for a stretch, thisperformance possessed a cosmic beauty that few others can reach" - HotPress magazine.     • Pierre Bensusan, Sat. Nov 13th, 8.30pm (€20 or €18 if you book before Fri, Nov. 5th)
    “MOZART OF GUITAR”, French-Algerian guitarist, singer and composer Pierre Bensusan is recognised as one of the most eloquent and diverse world musicians of our time.

    The Irish Examiner described Bensusan as ‘a dazzling solo odyssey’. So layered and complex are his live performances, Bensusan, with his ability to make his solo guitar sound like an entire ensemble, will immerse Irish audiences in an awe-inspiring musical journey.
    • Flight of Fantasy with the Irish Baroque Orchestra Chamber Soloists, Fri. Nov 19th, 8pm (€15)
      World renowned violinist Monica Huggett will be at the helm of a selected group of soloists from Irish Baroque Orchestra. The English violinist and conductor, Monica Huggett, has an international reputation as one of the foremost baroque violinists of our time. In 2008 she was appointed director of the new graduate program in historical performance at the Juilliard School, New York. She has won Gramophone awards for her recordings of Bach’s Sonatas and Partitas for solo violin (1997) and Biber’s violin sonatas (2002).

      Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the release of their debut album, Neither Am I , BellX1 are doing a special acoustic tour of Ireland this November which will see them return after a long hiatus to some of the venues they played on that first album tour. Regular visitors to Sligo, Bellx1 were last here as part of our new spaces for music series, where they played a memorable and intimate show in Calry Church on The Mall. We’re delighted to have them back with The Model in our new Theatre.
