Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Both. Either. Give give!

I'll sometimes crush up a few caffeine tablets and rub them on my gums. Some people say I've a problem but those people are probably hallucinations, and I don't listen to hallucinations.

I nearly spat my coffee across the keyboard at this :D which is the only thing that gets me through the day in work, cant function if we have run out, I leave work to go in hunt of some, the boss be damned!!

Drank coffee once and was dizzy after it drinking it.
That must be the "hit" people talk about
Dizzy like drinking your first pint :)
And yes, I am light weight

Will never drink it again, hate even the smell of it.
    Horrible, horrible stuff

Generally only drink green tea, gone off the normal stuff.

    Coffee is Satan's spooge

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,661 ✭✭✭General Zod

nescafe coffee is the foulest liquid in the world.
    Barry's tea is the second.

Give me a proper cup of coffee or Lyons gold blend any day.

Tea is brilliant though I think it tastes fùckin' fowl without sugar.

Coffee is liquid gold to me which, oddly, I prefer to have WITHOUT sugar :pac:

I lurve my coffee and when there's none left I tend to black out only to wake up standing over a corpse with blood on my hands.

Tea 90% of the time, (usually black - always Lyons/loose tea at home, and any sort of flavoured/ fruit/herb tea)

Coffee 10% (anything at all, don't taste the difference. Sometimes nothing hits the spot like a strong sweet coffee)

I was drinking coffee for a while but i think it gives me the plops so tea is my prefered hot drink.

    I drink tea.

With milk, with sugar-my usual, with two sugars. One sugar is just pretending, if you're going to go for one sugar just leave off the sugar

Without sugar-If there's no sugar, and I wanna feel "healthy", leave it oot. Most often happens when there's an unsugared tea poured & I'm not bothered enough to get the sugar.

No milk, no sugar- Saved for the allnighters. Works as well as a red bull for me, the bitterness gives me the right kick to wake me up a notch.

THe only coffee I've ever drank was when I worked on an Ethihad flight about to push back, awaiting clearance, and the cabin crew offered it to me.

Hawt coffee, hawt crew, how could one say no?

I don't have access to a kettle at the moment so someone please try it!!!!

Me and my sister made it for my brother in law one day cos he kept changing his mind about which he wanted.

Going by the faces he pulled after tasting it, it's not very nice :)

French press brewed coffee ftw! Strong and thick black coffee is ****in lovely. Can't stand tea myself, but I see it's appeal. I mean, Coffee in large doeses is very healthy:pac:

Fresh ground Hasbean coffee, made in my Gaggia, a thick nutty brown crema, silky frothed milk. Sorted.

Never ever drink instant. It's shyte of the highest order.

Like most old people, I have a certain distrust of people that don't drink either tea or coffee

I never did get a cup of tea today :(

    Seriously?

You can't swing a medium sized cat in Dirtytown without banging in to a coffee shop.

Maybe your requirements are just too funky?

Honestly very hard to find a place that does a good latte.

Also hard to find a place that does a reasonably priced one, we are still to expensive here.

This is what happens when I start coming down off my coffee buzz, my ability to spell begins to crumble.......

Then soon after that the bowels collapse...

Eventually I'll wind up a quivering mess, huddled up in a foetal position in the corner of the office in the dark surrounded by bottles of my own collected piss.

I have some Gyokuro in the press that's not far off chicken consommé. It's resistable.

Have Twinings 'everyday tea' which is the nicest tea ever, despite my initial scepticism. I also have a stovetop espresso pot in which I use Illy or Lavatzza. Nothing I like more than an espresso and a dark chocolate ginger nut. Mmmm.

I adore tea, so long as it's made right. Leave the bag to stew for a few minutes (I don't use leaves because I usually forget they're there and end up drinking them  :( ), come back, remove it after squishing the last bit o' tea out of it and then adding a drop of milk. Perfection :D No sugar of course - that just ruins it!

Of course, there are times I forget I've left the bag to stew and I come back 2 hours later to a cold cup of tar... :o

Coffee is disgusting. Smells awful, tastes even worse. Yuck! Even coffee cakes and biscuits are manky.

I used to hate coffee until I went backpacking around Europe and had the proper stuff, the crap that comes in a jar is only a cheap substitute to keep the shakes off until you can get the real thing. So if you've tried drinking instant coffee and think coffee sucks because of it, your doing it wrong.

Sometimes I can't decide which I want more tea of coffee so I make a cup of tea with half a spoon of coffee and it's damned nice so it is.

  • Moderators, Music Moderators Posts: 8,490 Mod ✭✭✭✭Fluorescence

Got a nice cup of tea in front of me now after being freezing cold outside for the last hour or so. What could be better? :D

Or is it Maxwell House, Lyons and Barrys?

Maxwell House is not coffee...it bears some faint resemblance to coffee but really shouldn't bear the name.

I'm a coffee fan, proper filter stuff if I'm not being lazy, Blend 37 if I am.

That said a scalding hot really strong cup of Barrys tea with just a splash of milk can be just the thing on a freezing wet miserable day. :)

Love coffee, hate tea. Coffee must be black and strong - I drink about 4-5 cups of it a day. :)

Milk shouldn't be in hot drinks. It's vile.

I find coffee gives me a sore throat(can never spell that word). Love my tea, If I dont have at least one cup before I start work I would probably kill someone.

    Just love me tay.

Yorkshire tea for preference; it's a lovely brew.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,736 ✭✭✭Irish Guitarist

Neither. I prefer cool soft drinks than tea or coffee. I am partial to the odd cup of drinking chocolate on a cold winter evening though.

I once tried mixing tea and coffee. It wasn't very nice.

I don't drink coffee, I love the smell but it tastes like crud

I'll sometimes drink tea, but it's not a habit. I love trying different types of tea blends though

Would drink around 3 cups of tea a day, coffee maybe a cup a month! I like a good aul cup an tae so I do.

That being said, I've yet to have a real good quality coffee...

Really like both. My family are all tea people, so I drink a lot of tea when I'm at home. However, I rarely find myself getting tea in a café or restaurant, or making it myself when I'm at college. I tend to go for coffee in those cases.

Favourite type of coffee is Mocha. Coffee + chocolate = OM NOM NOM.

I only drink fresh ground coffee. How pretentious for an 18 year old :pac:

I get a really odd metalic taste off of tea, drink coffee by the litre load!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 263 ✭✭marxcoo

Coffee, half fill it with milk... then reheat it in the microwave.. happy days.
Tea, for when you're in shock though, or in a depressive state.
