Hence the 0.01% chance of them playing again.

It was really, really empty when they played last year. Which was strange.

Ahhh Muse last year, I spent all day on that stage to get the front for them, ended up being pulled out the minute Kasabian finished cause my ribs were battered like hell. It was sickening

I moshed my way up a good bit though

Is Bruno Mars playing this year? My friend told me he is.

Maybe im showing my ancient age of 25 but are people really saying oxegen is a suitable place for a 14 year old!? Are yee going to the same oxegens ive been going to? I was barely allowed go to teenage discos at that age, never mind a 4 day festival with drink and drugs everywhere, and people like zombies as a result.

I think 14 is very young to be camping at Oxegen, tbh and I'm only going to be 17 at it.:pac:

    Not up to me, though.

There's too many Big names in that list for them all to be playing at Oxegen. I mean Coldplay, Radiohead, Chillis, Kanye, & Pulp (to name a few) all would be in line for a Headline spot on the Main Stage. We already have Foo's and Arctic Monkeys, there can only be one more main Headline act.

That list was made up before any acts were announced and it was just showing pretty much every band that could play Oxegen. Now that a few have been announced a good few of those acts wont be playing, as the above poster said, there's not enough room for a lot of the bigger ones

    Eh they played last year?

And I wasn't, which is why my head is still intact.

is there any truth in the rumours of either Rihanna or Beyonce

I know Beyonce was at the side when Jay Z was playing last year & she loves her irish fans, hence why she always makes more dates here than even London. Do you think she would do it?

    Or even Rihanna?

And what about Coldplay? Much chance?

For the love of God I hope none of these play

Coldplay are possible. I wouldn't expect Beyonce or Rihanna to play myself.

You can rule out Interpol as they're supporting U2 in North America.

Ah would have actually liked if ES played

Yeah i know the new song is awesome and they've kind of developed this Pendulem/prodigy sort of vibe about them, they could play the festivals every year and still pull a huge crowd.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rihanna played. V Festival are "supposedly" paying big money to try and get her to play there. She would be a good second stage act when arctic monkeys are on (for the girls)

I'm a girl and will not be a happy bunny if she plays ;) Not that I'm 100% going this year anyway.. Don't fancy paying 200+ quid just for Foo Fighters, awesome as they are. (Already seen Blink 182, not much interest in other acts)

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,552 ✭✭✭bren2001

    sexist

Obviously some blokes would go equally some girls would go to blink and the arctic monkeys but "in general" Rihanna would pull more girls than guys. IMO it would be a smart booking

These guys need to be added

Mumford & Sons, and The Streets lead the latest wave of acts confirmed for Spain's The International Benicàssim Festival, FIB Heineken.

Mumford & Sons, The Streets, Julieta Venegas, Lori Meyers, Catpeople, The Coronas, Veronica Falls, Grupo Salvaje, The Marzipan Man, and Smile

Maybe a few could be added to Oxegen

I'd imagine Streets will play. Mike Skinner said the next album will be the last as the Streets. I'd like to see Mumford come back again and play a better time/stage

Yea i really wanna see the Streets after seeing the footage from Oxegen 05 . Also i could see M&S 2nd last or maybe headline 2nd stage or mid day Main Stage
