Nah could see Kasabian passing on doing Oxegen this year and wait and come back for a tour when the album comes out.

    Yea Blink are a cert

Beady Eye will be a headline act, hence why theyve no Irish gig announced for their tour. Also Kasabian are headlining Isle of Wight and are supposed to have a new album for early summer so theyre a possibility

Can't see Beady Eye headlining, tbh, even with the LG factor. They're not well-known enough yet and won't be by the time the announcement comes around, possibly(hopefully) on one of the other stages, but not headling, imo.

I hope B.o.B is at it, he's savage and was supposed to have been good on stage at the Paramore concert a few weeks ago. And he isn't too Hip Hop either.

Thought you were being serious...and i was being stupid not knowing who they were :pac:

Facebook has 1100 people in ireland listing themselves as liking the band though.....might be a tad small for the main stage headline ;)

    An academy gig maybe?

Surely with Sonisphere being moved to the same weekend as oxegen it makes Bands from Sonisphere more unlikely, few bands will be able to play 3 festival slots which can differ from early to late at night depending on stage, over 3 days in 3 countrys?

Could The Killers be a possibility?

Not really. Google Maps says all three festivals are about seven to eight hours drive from each other so it wouldn't be impossible.

Sigur Rós. In anyform. I would take them on the smallest stage for a half hour set 2pm on Friday!

If those 3 go, then I'm definitely going, I don't care if they only play for 30 minutes and are the only 3 bands there..

Any hope of Pendulum making an appearance? I've become obsessed with them in recent weeks.. :)

I'd like to see Pendelum actually, they've a few good songs. Have heard conflicting stories about how good they are live, though.

yea went to see pendulum in may and was a bit disappointed. of course im spoiled since no one will ever live up to the prodigy.

Regarding blink.....won't Travis have to get a ferry to ireland?
Would this be a pretty tight schedule for him?

it'd be tight but not impossible. It could go
    Manchester show
    Bus to liverpool
    Ferry to ireland
    Oxegen
    Drive up the north
    ferry to stranraer
drive to t in the park
    monday off

Not at all. Many of the bands that play titp / oxegen play consecutive days.

Yea sure even if Blink play TITP say Saturday and Oxegen Sunday , Travis could get a Ferry first thing Sunday morning and travel to Oxegen

Agreed would be a great for them to finish. It would be kinda cool if they did what a lot of European festivals do and have a big Dance Act to go after the Main Headliner.

Although Foo Fighters would be the best way to close the festival

Anyone think 30stm might make a return? Since they never announced a Irish Date on the recent tour (although that could be because of the low attendance from the last Dublin gig)

Yeah Foo's closing in 05 was pretty awesome. I'd love if Queens of the Stone Age came back and headlined the Main Stage some night. In 05 i seen em on the Main Stage at like 4pm. And in 07 they were headlining in one of the tents at the same time Muse played the Main Stage. It would be friggin epic if Foo's were headlining Sunday night and for the last half an hour or so, Dave Grohl brought out Josh Homme and John Paul Jones to play some Them Crooked Vultures. This would certainly bring the Rock back to "Europes biggest rock n roll weekend"

Ok so was kinda bored so I made a mock-up poster for what I think would make a great line up for Oxegen 2011. Some of the acts on it are far more likely than others, but let me know what you think anyway.

That sounds about right. I hope Kele still is though. He must appear in one way or another again.
