Insane upload speeds?!?!

Well just a few mins ago i was uploading a file to Megaupload.com and when i started uploading the upload speed shot to over 2mb per second! I'm not complaning :p but why is that happening? I'm currently on UPC's 15mb package so i should only be getting around 150kb per second upload right? ;)

No, I think the upload speed is 2Mbps.

the 15Mbps package has a 1.5Mbps maximum upload speed, bearing in mind that its megabits, not megabytes.
