Bad attitude to have chief. You're missing out on a lot of great films that way. Reading subtitles while watching a film has never bothered me in the slightest.

Anyway, hopefully Juliette has given Ryan a kick up the arse he needs tonight.
    100% in agreement!

Re Binoche. Beautiful films. Ryan's knowledge in this area is surprisingly limited...forget "The English Patient" and "Chocolat", FFFS, Ryan.

Still, Binoche is in the entertainment game, whatever she might prefer to believe, and going all Post-Structuralist Francophone on poor dumb Tubbs is a bit OTT. Help him along, Juliette. If you think this is bad, wait til you're reduced to flogging your back catalogue of films on American Breakfast talk shows.....Cut the guy a bit of slack.....It's a two way thing...

Probably off topic, but why would anyone watch a movie with subtitles?
Despite the fact that reading while watching a film is pointless, so much is lost in the translation from voice to text on screen.

People that tell you "old Boy" is better than "The Departed" need their head read & city of god is passable story, but it would be better if it was dubbed \ remade in English

What's the reason for this even, just because he turned 70? It's like as if he died or something.

Bill O' Herlihy is talking about when he first came on the panel... when Giles first came on the panel, he was in a white t-shirt and looked like your typical, immature Niall and Andy type analyst. You can see it on youtube.
