Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Great strength in City squad good to see Given start

We couldnt look any more defensive if we tried. For the great attackers we have, youd swear we had no options.

good atmosphere at the match and yea its brilliant to see Given get a start :)

Had to switch this off because of Pat Dolan tried it without the sound but I don't like it without the crowed noise. The man is infuriating.

Could be worse - you could have Tommy Smyth (with a Y)

If anyone is going to score, its not us. Theyre looking good on the counter.

We have nothing going forward. Its dreadful stuff. There are too many defenseve players. We need a more attacking outlook here. Ade cant work miracles. He needs some service. And we need someone to be creative. AJ and Milner just arent doing it at the min, and SWP might as well be elsewhere

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭folan

    Yep, there it is.

Surprised Balotelli isn't playing. Could do with a few games under his belt i'd have thought.

Clock has got to be ticking for Mancini at this point.

Anyone else getting that 'Typical City' feeling yet?

For me, he has been pretty poor given the amount of money he has spent. 4th place, and failing to put away weaker teams is not going to impress a board who sacked Mark Hughes for much less.

    It never goes away tbh

Thatd be the same board that inherited Mark Hughes. And hired Mancini.

Theres the difference that should see Mancini get to the end of the season.

Though Id prefer to get a manager who goes for a bit more attacking football. How shots have we had now?

 The Lech Poznan manager is the spit of Dylan Moran.

Goals from the edge of the box tonight and against Wolves. Common denomenator? No Nigel De Jong.

How fantastic are those Polish fans? Puts the average premiership crowd to shame in fairness.

Nice of the ref not to let them complete the action of their corner.

Thank fook SWP is gone off

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭folan

SWP off for Silva. A much better attacking option. Lets see some white goals.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭folan

What great attacking. 2 white shirts in the box. Dreadful.

    GET IN THERE ADE

    Get in!

    Super save initially

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,021 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Adebayor is awesome. I keep saying it. I really do believe that you can build a world class team around him. Such a great finisher.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭folan

Their keeper is pretty good actually. A couple of good saves over the 2 matches. Like us though, his back 4 dont look the sharpest

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭folan

Starting to gain some attacking momentum here too, but they are still very dangerous looking on the break

    Oh FFS get Viera off

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 6,798 ✭✭✭karma_

    I agree, Ade is quality.

As for Silva, each time I see him, the more I like him, he is an amazing footballer and will I believe, become a City legend. Our fullbacks are shocking tonight, Bridge and Richards are complete liabilities.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,846 ✭✭✭Moneymaker

Yeah of all the dodgy signings Mancini has made, Silva was a smashing piece of business. Class act.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

Just when you think we couldn't go any more defensive....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,438 ✭✭✭✭Rikand

    GET IN POLAND! :D

the polish commentary is great when they score that 2nd one ;)

    What a comedy goal,

    Nothing Given could do there,

Looks like 3 defeats in a row now.

    ROFL!

Justice for playing so many defensive players.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭folan

You cant expect to win when you have more defenders on than anything else.

Im not the only one whos said it, but its the reason Mancini will go when he does. And with the money he has wasted, he will

Commentator: ''You got to feel sorry for Man City''

    Me: ''F**k no!''

    edit: Fantastic goal. 3-1!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

    Team for the weekend -

    Hart

    Richards
    Kompany----Toure
    Lescott
    Bridge

    Vieira
    De Jong----Yaya----Zabaleta

    Boyata

    Play for the draw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,081 ✭✭✭ollie1

Oh no Silva should have buried that.

i've said it before, and to be fair there are plenty of City fans who have been saying it longer than me...

Mancini is not the man for the job.

far far too cautious, far far too often.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,328 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

Thought Silva was going to bang that in,

not a shocking miss, but a real chance all the same,

    GAME OVER,

    Great strike
