Glacial Super League Season 2 Session 2 + Fundraiser (13/11/10)

Put down your Halo Reach, your Rock Band 3, your Fallout 3 and your Super Street Fighter 4....actually, no. Not the last one. Because it's finally time for the 2nd league session of the season.

But wait, there's more! This is the first session of Movember so there will be a special fundraiser. Haven't decided exactly what but it will take up one TV for approx half an hour or so. Pay €1 per attempt and I will try to get some prizes - best performance, most charitable, etc.
Or maybe I'll just charge for casuals

Important Info:
Moviedrome is the venue once again. From 1-4 on Saturday 13 November.

Cost & Prize:
Once again, each session will cost €8. €1 of this goes into a travel and entry fund for Inferno (February) while €2 goes into a prize pot for 1st-3rd. Entry also gets you a ticket for the raffle (for the Street Fighter movie collection). The winner of the session will win a bag of glacial mints.

Charity Event
To raise funds for my Movember campaign (and as a result the Irish Cancer Society), attendees (regardless of entry into league session) will be invited to take part in the 'Car Crusher' mini game within SSF4.

Players may attempt to set a high score as many times as they like (€1 per go).

Will post again with prizes - will be more than just the person who mashes the hardest (i.e. high score)

So apparently, the new Milkshake bar after opening in Limerick is similar to 'Shakes' in Dublin.

As a result, I propose that we go there after the session!

(and by "propose" I mean, I am going and others are welcome to join )

As one of the people who has to deal with those kinds of complaints personally, I can assure you we won't be offering any free of charge repairs just over a bit of moaning and whining.

Also in the session, we had a fundraiser for Movember (in aid of Irish Cancer Society). Honda was the flavour of the session but people still managed to eek out some extra points. For those at home, FutureGuy set the highest score at 172,000 and won 2100 MS points. Burning Eclipse was unlucky to be pipped by just 100 points.

Mr. K was feeling rather charitable with a number of attempts - selecting characters at random and just beating up a poor defenceless car. He got 2100 MS points for his troubles.

Finally, D4RK ONION put on an impressive Dan display with neverending taunting of the car. He finished with the Super Taunt to land on the bonnet and get 1200 MS points for an A for effort!

€40 raised in aid of Movember - thanks all!
