HELP!


Hoping you lovely guys in the christmas forum can help!

We are having alot of trouble trying to find somewhere to book our work christmas dinner everywhere is either to early or to late!

Looking for something more like a late lunch from around 2.30pm for about 30-40 euro a head for about 16 people, heres the reason why its been so ticky we have around 4 veggies and a few picky lads :rolleyes:

So something simple with a bit of varitiy, in the city centre would be great!

Any recommendations welcome!

Where abouts are you thinking ?

There's a place called Wolfs in Capel Street with a big room upstairs. Or Darwins up Georges Street or the Trocadero in Andrew Street or Chez Max in Baggot Street ????

We've been to Odessa a few times. Always yummy, good service and it's pretty reasonable and some nice veggie options too!

Anywhere in the general area of stephens green as far as temple bar?

Ive check out your recommendations sadly their christmas menus are looking a bit poor on the selections,

I have contacted the Ely wine bar they seem pretty reasonable, and the Boulevard cafe waiting on a call back from both of them no luck as of yet!


Thanks for your help I just hoping we find somewhere or we'll all be ending up in eddie rockets

I've been to the Boulevard Cafe twice and I can honestly say that I've been both pleased and full leaving - the customer service was particularly good as I had my niece & nephew with me who are picky enough.

The waiter (the adorable Darragh as I found out when I rang to pass on my compliments) put on Christmas music when we sat down and revealed we were on our way to visit Santa.

What about Yamamori ?

Have you thought about Cusacks restaurant in the hotel on Mercer St? The one beside the Surgeons Car Park?

ok it's dublin but you could say dublin city in your post...there's posters from outside the capital too ya know!

trust me, there'll always be someone who's not happy with where you go or the food on the menu, just try to pick somewhere pretty generic with a varied menu

I'll second Odessa in dame court it's a lovely restaurant with top notch food

I meant which city...galway, cork, belfast, derry, limerick, dublin, waterford, kilkenny...
It's just that people often post on boards asking about somewhere "in the city" "city centre" and unless it's in a regional forum I think it's presumptious and can be kinda frustrating!
