    Hi,

I was hoping to get some advice please.

We've just taken in a lovely little stray kitten. She's about three months old and is just lovely. So gentle and playful and lovable. The only thing is, our Jack Russell who we've had for 8 years is feeling a bit put out.

They get on well and she adores him but he's getting upset at the attention being shown to her and is quite down lately. We'd love to keep the kitten, we really don't want to have to find a new home for her because we can really love her and provide a good home, but the dog is an established family member and if he's getting upset then she can't stay. We've been spoiling the dog lately with new toys and showing him more attention than usual to compensate but he's still very down.

Can anyone offer any advice on how to make him feel as loved as ever while keeping the new kitten? Or how to stop him feeling down? Or anything to make it possible to keep the kitten?

    I'd really appreciate any advice.

    Thanks
