Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi decided to start to commute to work on the bike after fracturing my wrist 8 weeks ago. It is a fairly short one under 3 km. A few spanners in the works. I have to dress business-like, and I have little to no gear for my bike. It's just a basic carrera racer I picked up from a mate. So I am compiling a list of gear I'll need to pick up. I am completely new to cycling and was hoping people could point me in the right direction of good gear.

    -helmet
-under armour (winters getting close :))
    - decent bike trousers and/or short ( recently read about cycling jeans with reflector turn-ups used by couriers in NY)
    - High visibility gear (usuall bright yellow stuff)
    - wirst guard (still not fully healed, doc told me another month)
    - Decent wee backpack (keep me lunch, work clothing etc in there)
    - bike light
    - bike lock
