Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

As a follow on from the Halloween thread which evolved on to a Christmas and christians thread I came across this movement. The aim is to 'take back' Christmas, spend less and give more. It's a real eye opener that the money we spend on totally useless gifts for the sake of tradition or obligation can bring life and hope to those really in need. Certainly food for thought.

Good reminder even for us non-believers.

This Christmas, I am going to send the charity Christmas cards which I bought from Catholic Truth Society and Aid to the Church in Need. The cards feature various nativity scenes and overt Christian artwork.

I remember before I found God, I sent cards with a nice winter scene and thee generic PC 'Winter Wishes' was the message. Such things should be avoided by Christians.

I plan to only give a couple worthwhile gifts to family members.
