leaving cert

    hello...

    i am currently doing my leaving cert and have a 4 month old baby and am really sruggling to attend school and also raise my child....
    i am just wondering if anybody knows of any ways that i am able to finish my leaving cert without attending full time school???.....:confused:

    please please help......
    really grateful for any advice????xx

    You can do certain subjects in the leaving cert as an external student so you don't attend classes. Application is through www.examinations.ie . Closing date will probably be in January. Any subjects with a project component need to be supervised by a teacher but if your subjects are exam only then it's not a problem for you.

    You may qualify for home tutoring.
    Talk to the Home School Liaison teacher in your school.

    If you get nowhere with them, talk to your local VEC. Many VECs have creches attached to their adult centres. Either way, the local VEC adult ed. officers will know all the options available to you.
