Nilfisk Alto wet/dry vac no suction ???

Hi all, I have a 110v Nilfisk Alto wet /dry vac and there is now little or no suction from it.:( I have checked the usual simple stuff like: Cleaned filter and cleaned of pipes etc: Did any have a similiar issue or any ideas on I get it sorted.:mad:

If it looks a bit like this design then have you checked if the seal between the upper and lower halves ok? I image a poor seal here would suck air in through the joint and prevent a sufficient vacuum being generated.
