Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

yeah they are gone from the turtle beaches, Not sure of the exact models , but the model similar to the px21's , is 150 euro , and the other one has 5.1 surround sound , that is 199 euro , way overpriced in comparison to other models.

Actually, I disagree. The Tritton 5.1 headsets aren't over priced for the tech involved. They are the sharpest and clearest headphones on the market. Whereas the Turtle Beach x41's use simulated surround sound from one speaker in each cup, the Tritton's actually use three (maybe four, can't remember) small speakers in each cup to give a genuine surround sound experience. Also, due to being wired, you don't get the pops and crackles that the wireless versions suffer from.

The models you should be looking at are either the Tritton AXPro or the newer Tritton 720, both are for the 360.

200 euro for the 5.1 surround sound ........seriously , i'd take the sharkoons xtatic v3 over them , plus 60 euro cheaper.

The trittons are cheaper , but peats here in Ireland i think offer the best deal on the sharkoons.

Most of the wired 5.1 surround sound headsets are pretty much on par as there is competition out there.

Make sure it's the V3 model due to the upgrades.

If it was my money, I'd hold off for a few weeks until the new Razer Chimaera's get released. Razer are known for making very high quality gaming peripherals for the PC and are moving into the console arena now. It'll be similar in price but also wireless and they also have a very cool new controller coming out called the Onza. Check out http://www.razerzone.com/thenextchapter/

The controller good really good , I have the px21's and the x3's , i too am looking for another headset , tried out the astro's , trittons and sharkoons , and had decided on the sharkoons xtatic v3 , ultimately i was looking for wireless , but with 2 many faults with the tb x41's, i was beginning to think 5.1 would not work on wireless.
If you wouldnt mind could you post/pm me closer to the release date .
    Thanks

They both actually look pretty cool :pac: I'm thinking of picking up a headset soon now too... Was thinking of getting the black ops ones

Would the razer ones really be worth waiting for?

I think so but without seeing a review, it's hard to know. Some good clips on youtube showing off the prototypes.

I had Tritton AX360's, then upgraded to TB x4's and then upgraded them to TB x41's. Have to say the TB x41's are class. If you change the router's wifi channel to as high as possible and position it away from the base station, then the cracks and pops become very rare.

Plus, filtering back your voice through the headset makes it much easier to chat. With the Tritton's and other makes you tend to not hear your own voice and it can be a bit off putting.

For me, it's the wireless that was most important. That's why I've been following Razer's progress so closely. Here's one youtube clip, there's loads:

If it's 110 like it said here I might wait for it :)
