Sorry if this has already been discussed, but just thought some of ye'd be interested to know that we now have the full coverage on Google Earth Satellite photos.

I reckon the photo is about 2 years old but better than nothing!
Good to have, especially for tourists.

    "Imagery data: May 13, 2008"

Good guess! Bit weird all the same, Dublin's images are from September of the same year yet they've been up for ages.

Cewl. It was taken on the 13th of May 2008, which is recent by googles standards. They the only have the bare edges of the city along the outer ring road up to ferrybank. It would been nice if they had more of the surrounds.

Either way it is a good start, i hope they keep on adding more.

Looking at the aerial imagery of Bilberry, does anyone see how the railway would ever be able to get near the city now that Waters Gate is blocking the original line? Have they put a tunnel in place??????????

Just on google earth (the programme not the web version) and I was wondering what had happened to the definition, spotted that it was possible to use imagery from 2008 rather than 2011 so "turned the clock back" and lo and behold much better.

It seems that Microsoft are the ones to beat for coverage of Waterford. They have 2012 satellite imagery (taken on a glorious sunny day) online now: http://binged.it/OIBJpE

That photo is less than 6 months old, theres road works going on on the Kilbarry road and theres the site office from the road works just in where the rugby club is! and Tesco Ballybeg is less than 2 years open anyway!

Oh sorry, the last link i clicked on from bing was less than 2 years! My bad

Taken on a weekend going on the amount of cars outside work. And going on the shadow on my house, it was taken not too long before midday.
