Jason Molina sure likes Wolves and the Moon. There must be dozens of Songs: Ohia and Magnolia Electric Co. songs that feature those words.

    Strange....

Some guys get stuck on images for years.

Go back through Bill Callahan's work and look at all his horse/river/tree references.

Dublin band Kodaline's All I Want is gonna feature on the new season of Grey's Anatomy. Terrible show but so so popular. It really is a big success for a little known Irish band.
    Fair play to them.
Pretty sure there must be some Irish person choosing the music for that show, AFAIR the Chalets had a song in either season 1 or 2.

If anyone is looking for some music based TV shows. Go get Treme. It's immense and the music is so so good.

Yeah Treme is amazing. As well as sharing the same creator, it reminds me of The Wire for being so wonderfully cathartic.

Dinosaur Jr played a show in celebration of YLAOM the other night. Featured a load of guest musicians including Black Francis, Kim Gordon, Johnny Marr and Tommy Stinson. Looked a lot of fun:

    (Tame w/ Black Francis)

(The Boy With The Thorn In His Side w/ Johnny Marr)

It's class, just watched the finale of season 2, not sure when Sky Atlantic are showing season 3.

A few of the actors shared with the Wire as well, including
Steve Earle, gutted when he was killed off :(

I literally just finished this episode too. It's unreal.

Can't wait for season 3. Wendell Pierce (The Bunk/Antoine Baptiste) said on twitter that some of the musical performances in season 3 are some of the best he's ever heard. So ya, pretty excited about it.

Also there is only half a season 4 scheduled - 5 episodes and that's it.

Is there a cloakroom in Whelans? Probably going to see Grant Hart (Husker Du) there on Friday but I don't want to have my bag on me the whole time.

There is. It's just inside the entrance, you have to walk by it to get into the venue.

When the drums kick in I thought "The Smiths" but ends up sounding very like something off Springsteens Born in the USA album.

Maybe someone can help me here? The Nils Frahm track 'La' from the Screws LP is a reworking something that I just can't put my finger on. It's driving me up the wall to be honest. Any ideas?

    Can't place it just yet. It's the part from 0:00 to 0:35 / 1:23 to 1:38 / 2:19 to 2:45. Those 8 notes are definitely from something!
