Cheap flights from Cairns to Bangkok?

    Hey guys,

    I've decided that I'm gonna use my return flight to Dublin on the 22nd December, so will be going home for good then!

    I'm gonna be in Cairns around the 25th November (the end of my east coast trip), and I'll still have a good bit of cash, so I think I'm gonna check out Thailand for a few weeks before going home.

    I have to be in Sydney to fly home, so I'll be looking for a route like:

    Cairns -> BKK -> Sydney
    or even
    Cairns -> Darwin -> BKK -> Sydney

    Just wondering what people think would be the best/cheapest way to organise this? Should I pop into a travel agent or an airline branch?

    What would be the cheapest airline to do it with?
