Oil vs Fan vs Convector heaters

Hi there!

The apartment I live has those wall mounted heaters, and I think they put a really small one for my main bedroom. Poor guy is not being able to heat the entire room properly. So I'm planning getting a smaller one, portable to use as a extension during the night.

I was checking argos, and there's a lot of types, which one would be more efficient for this task Oil, fan or convector?

Neither will be more efficient as such.

An oil heater will tend to heat one particular area better whereas a fan heater will tend to heat the whole room equally.

The oil heater will take longer to heat up / cool down compared to a fan.

The convector heaters like this one (picked at random) http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/4151955.htm would appear to be quite similar to a fan heater except they may be more biased towards the heat than the fan.

I got one of these last year, and found it great http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001FSJXYU/. I was using it as my main heater (1 bed flat), and it coped brilliantly with even the bitter cold last winter. Didn't break the bank for the ESB bill either.
