Inter Bank transfers

    Hiya,
    Just wondering if Bank of Ireland's online service allow you to transfer money to another account with a different bank?
    Was just in my local branch and they told me that I can't transfer money to an account with a different bank unless it's over €25,000.

    If you have the IBAN number (thats the one thats a little over a mile long!!), then they should be able to do the transaction over the counter for you. It takes up to 3 days.

    I wonder if they misunderstood your question?

    I regularly transfer money, from my husband's BOI account, via BOI's 365online, to my AIB account and/or my Ulster Bank account. And I'm sure if I was sending €25,000+each time my husband would have more than a few questions for me! :pac::pac:
