Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I'm considering heading up, but have two things on my mind;

    1. It's set for 6pm. It's supposed to be around the Dept. of Finance building. Can any dubliners tell me if it'll be dark, or if it's a well lit place? Don't fancy using flash, as I'll end up with a load of dark pictures with illumatied High-vis Garda jackets?

    Anyone photographed such a thing at night time?

    2. The weather. It's predicting a dry day on Google, though, so hopefully it'll be grand.

    Anyone gonna pop along?

    Nice crisp, dry day so far - cold though. It'll be fully dark by 6pm so you'll need a flash or a fast lens. It's in a well lit city though so a nice prime might do the job if you can keep it steady.

    if sodium street lamps are the main source of illumination, it's hard to pull a decent amount of colour information out of them. unless the orange cast works in your favour.
    the forecast is for rain to arrive 'tonight'.

    Ah, I won't bother my bollocks then. I'll leave it until they organise another one for daylight hours.

    Will have great joy reading about this one though. Shall be a disaster.

    Ha, yea, more than likely.

    Was thinking about going in myself, not 100% sure though. I'm trying to sell my current cam and if I go to this you just know it'll fall and break.

    I tend to just come across them on boards, to be honest. I'm usually flicking through a lot of forums, and the Politics forum tends to have a thread about them.

    Also, because it's a protest against the Gardaì, it was in the Emergency Services forum, too.

    Never heard of indymedia. Will check it out now.
