Lol... Enda Kenny coming up to canvas Donegal SW today... the fool

He should be well used of those winds since he's from Mayo! Although maybe he's gone soft since moving to Dublin!!

Well my ferry has been cancelled, will this have all cleared by 9am tomorrow morning??

Did you check if the Ulysses is running? Usually runs through anything - I know it would be a diversion but at least you'd be getting there.

A notch below a storm? Doesn't sound like Met Eireann expect this to be any worse than currently forecast.

    Sligo
    From 10am - WSW veering W 35 gust 45kts

    Galway

    Kerry
    From 10am - W 30 gust 45kts, from 4pm W 20 gust 35kts

    Waterford

I'd say the winds will be the strongest today in these squally showers... Just had one there now and wow did the winds pick up with horizontal rain

Both Ulysses & whatever the Stena one is called went out from Dublin Port more or less on time this morning, ploughing ahead regardless.

Windy enough here in wexford town but nothing spectacular to note as of yet, Going by my trusty high tech weather vane (clothes line) i'd say it's about 10-15mph sustained gusting briefly to maybe 30. But i got a taste of one of those squally showers about ten minutes ago and yeah the wind picks up alot! Can't imagine what it will be like later in the west.

It got a bit hairy at about 1-2 am here last night, quiet enough ie a light blustery breeze, with sun right now.
