    10am Reports. Worst in West not Malin ( yet)

    Land Station gusts were max 59KT at 9 in both Belmullet and Valentia now max 65KT at Mace

    i was out walking the dog this morning along the beach near Glenbeigh in Co Kerry and the wind was ferocious ... very hard to keep upright and the wind was pushing me along nicely ...

    Still very windy here now but no rain

    Winds now W'ly, mean 16.1km/h, gust 31.km/h
    Pressure continuing to fall, 975hPa, -0.5hPa/hr

    answer: 65 knots = 120.38 km/h

    We just arrived in Galway , past through some real heavy showers at Atlone.
    Took 1 short video . Wind shear is quite rough at times also , we even had to slow down quite a bit to get through it.

    Wil keep u's all posted :)

    Interesting reports. 06Z gfs had 65knt gusts no close than 50 miles from the coast 2 hours from now, so thats significantly stronger than that model.

    Wind has seriously picked up here in West Limerick.

    Sunny between showers.

    1100z news on 2FM has the lead story with river Shannon over flowing on O'Callaghan Strand. Winds to really start to hit in the next hour according to the article.
