    My name is (insert name here) and I am a weatheraholic thanks to you guys!! Been keeping an eye on this thread since the January snow session, thanks to everyone for their contributions, so interesting, well the stuff I understand!

    Here's my 1c worth.....wind has definitely picked up here in Dublin City Centre but looks like its nothing compared to what's going on in the Vest!!

    Wind has really picked up again here in Limerick in the last 30 mins or so, it is the worst it has been so far today!

    Eased off a bit here now, Mean 13km/h Gusts 35km/h. Will be interesting to see if things pick up in the next hour.

    could be wrong but wind seems to be shifting more westerly here now as the back garden is now getting it. The water is getting blown out of the bird bath and its blowing out in a westerly direction. Has been North westerly most of the day.

    Its moved into the realms of dangerous up here now... gusts are severly violent. Constant rumble outside. :)

    Wind is fairly heavy here in Maynooth, would knock you off balance if you weren't careful. No real rain to speak of just yet

    Ger fleming says when winds turn more westerly later its gonna create problems for eastern regions and dublin because the wind will funnel down the liffey

    winds after slackening off considerably in waterford city in the last while....very little rain all day

    Winds moderating in Galway, now gusting to no more than 45 - 55km/h and skies have cleared. Off to Salthill for some pics!!
