Ballyhoura Trails (Accomodation)

Looking to head down to Ballyhoura for a weekend on the trails with a few of the lads. Can anybody recommend decent B&Bs or hotels in the area?

(preferably with or near a bar:))

Stayed there earlier this year, they even have a hose for cleaning bikes and a playground that seems like a good idea to drunken mountain bikers on the way home from the pub!

I've also stayed in the Forest Homes which are excellent.

If you're looking for B&B /hotel you should try the Deebert House Hotel in Kilmallock. They have a safe storage area for the bikes. They're very friendly and when we stayed there in the summer it was 90euro per room including breakfast and packed lunch.

Lantern Lodge in Ballyorgan. Just across from the pub in the village. Old school b and b, friendly service. 10 mins cycle (uphill!) from the trailhead.

you can cycle back through the holiday homes and wash your bike....

The Old Train House B&B in Ballyhooly. 20 minutes from the Mountain Bike Trail. Plenty of safe indoor storage and a power hose to wash down the bikes.
