Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Logic suggests United shouldn't win this.......so they almost certainly will.

Anything can happen in derby games, all that stuff about sick players is suspect to say the least. I expect united to field a good team. City might shade it, but form is erratic. a really hard one to call. Hopefully no sending offs or silly ref decisions and it should be a great game between two good teams.

Perfectly sums up my thoughts on tonights game as well:)

I doubt anyone is sick tbh.

It wouldn't suprise me if Nani was playing too.

I'm actually really confident of a United win, tbh. Just have a feeling.

Man U have conceded 8 in 5 away games against the likes of Sunderland, Bolton, Stoke. Have only won one.

City conceded 5 in 5 and have put Liverpool and Chelsea to the sword at home.

Expect them to triumph at home again tonight. Chelsea to extend to five again

And how was Liverpool's form before the Chelsea game. On top of the fact that this is a derby. City used to give us problems in Derby games with the likes of Shaun Goater.

    Formbook, out the window.

In such a game, I'm not keen on making predictions. But what I will say is that we can take them, no doubt about it!

Chico instead of Carrick for me and that's not a dig at Carrick as he's been playing well but Berbs really doesnt suit as a lone striker.

Would get raped in midfield, imo.

For once I'm not feeling confident about it.
Every chance City could score 3 and win it.
Rio and Vidic starting handy I admit.
Giggs must be gutted breaking that run.
Including our form, and our players unfit.
Evra keeps Silva under his thumb.

Tevez to score one before it's half time.
Injury time sees City claim a crime.
Maybe Chicharito to come on and win it.
Evra man of the match so this stanza will rhyme.
For the poetry fans i've used a Scottish Stanza, followed by a simple Rubaiyat.

Giggs must be gutted breaking that run.
    I predict:
Either team to have a player sent off.

Tevez to score before half time.
Injury time goal(s) is/are practically guaranteed at this stage.
Maybe Chicharito to come on and win it.
    Evra man of the match.

Disappointing. From the layout of that post, I thought it would rhyme :(

Perhaps but park could have helped out a bit off the ball. Anyway no better than having a front man playing a style that doesnt suit.

It would have taken more hassle than I was prepared for, even that seemed a lot easier before I started.

Edit: Fine, I've caved to peer pressure. I've elected for a Scottish Stanza, followed by a simple Rubaiyat.

As a United fan I would take a draw considering how poorly united have been playing of late . .

Couldnt decide what bet to make on the game and in the end felt that just over evens on scholes being booked was easy money (cue scholes tackle!)

Fantastic skill from Berba there a few minutes ago to take the ball away from about 4 City players.

Park? Carrick? Fletch? Usually we would have a winger taking our corners (in this kind of game we couldnt really allow a full back to take a corner with things being so tight!), but I dont see the creative ability in our midfield . .

I think United should be looking for short corners and mixing it about .

    Rafael with a great crunching tackle . . More needed . .

Berbs actually looks in the mood but its too tight up front . . This has 0-0 or 1-0 written all over it . .
