Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Anyone else tired of Andy Gray laughing at Paul Scholes' thuggery?

Paul Scholes takes his tackling to the next level. .

We might see thuggery if de jong could get near a united player with the ball:D

Oh my LOL... U gonna watch the second half so?

Brutal game so far. City with the majority of the possession without looking threatening. United looking very one paced but comfortable.

Rafael earning massive man love points for his handbags with Tevez.

Ha! You must have missed all those top notch tackles he's laid in the first half, like where he robbed Nani, headed off down the wing, and drew a foul.

Best defensive midfielder in the league

How many are there now a days though? Too many midfielders that are good at an all round game to play a restricted player like that (as much as I do enjoy a bruiser)

Tevez wearing a scarf in the tunnel at HT ! ! Seriously WTF . . Rafael didnt wear one, ergo Rafael is twice the man . .

    Rafael would beat Audley Harrison.

He's on the thug scale, he's a persistent offender. If i had to make a comparison i'd compare him to a petty criminal rather than a murderer. He knows what he's at.

In comparison to De Jong hes mother theresa . . Hes nearly at the end of his career and has never caused serious injury to anybody . . Quit sucking lemons and get over it . .

Thats where you're going wrong, Try compare him to a footballer and you'll see how stupid your original comparison was.

Looks like Rafael didn't fully recover from the might of Carlos. Soft.

De Jong is far along the thug scale, near where thuggery meets brutality, i make no excuses for that man.

    Enough of that.

    Rafael not so tough now.

Good ol' Brown sporting the "I wouldn't trust you with my kids" tache.

Andy Gray basically says city spend 250mil mainly on attacking players so they could hire a manager who likes to have a compact defencive team . . :D

I don't know why, but it's really irritating me this season the way commentators follow a players name with a very obvious, irrelevant description, i.e. "Here's Darren Fletcher, the Scottish international"

Why? Who else does that? That's like walking into the kitchen and saying "Hello Mum, the woman who conceived me".

    /rant

Fcuking idiots on ESPN, talking about bringing on Adebayor to help Tevez - "well that would be a very bold move, that means he actually gooing out to win the game" in a very sincere tone...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,306 ✭✭✭✭Drumpot

United dominating . . Getting worried, this has United play well and lose written all over it . .

Edit: Berbs is having a decent game . .

I wouldnt mind if Adebayer came on, if he scored he would waste all his energy trying to find an Arsenal fan to rub in their face . .

Nice bit of play from Brown and Fletch.
We're not great tonight, but we've been playing decent enough football in parts.

    Glazers Out!

Scholsey's were all cynical, some might say thuggish. Therein lies the difference.

Our passing really has been great tonight. Very fluid and a lovely tempo. So refreshing after some of the dross we've served up this season.

I might sound like a broken record at this stage, but Vidic is a genius, smartest defender I've ever seen!

Has anyone else besides yourself thrown the word "thug" or its derivatives at Scholes in this thread?

Refs wont always know if players are being cynical or not . .

I have Two words for you my friend "persistant fouling" . . It exists , not just for united players . . ;)
