    Selling Tickets for the Texas Hold 'Em Poker Classic being held in the Ballsbridge In (the old Jury's Hotel) on Friday 19th November

    There's a Minimum of a €5000 GUARANTEED prize pool with 20 places paid.
    €50 Entry to the tournament with the option of re-buy or top up at €20

    Raffles and spot prizes on the night and the ticket includes entry to an afterparty at Howl at the Moon

    500 Extra chips with a ticket

    Where is the money going?

    Is this event associated with a political party?

    More info needed. How many rebuys allowed? What are the blinds/levels? How many people are you expecting to turn up? What time does it start?

    The money is going into the prizepool and it's also a fundraiser for senator james carroll of fianna fail, in association with JK office furniture and Speciality print and design.

    I have no connection with him or the party, I was just asked to sell tickets.

    Ok I've found some info on irish poker boards about this tournament.


    1. Who is running the event (organisation, society etc.) Celtic Poker Tour will be running the event on behalf of the organisers. Friends of James Carroll
    2. The purpose of the event (charity, commercial etc.) Fundraiser for Senator James Carroll
    3. Date and Location of event: Friday, 19th November 2010 in the Ballsbridge Inn, Dublin. (Formerly Jury's Hotel)
    4. Registration and Start time of event. Reg from 7.00pm game starts at 8.00pm
    5. Any prerequisites (member of club, society etc) None
    6. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc.). Tickets can be bought on the night or in advance by pming me. (500 early bird chip for tickets bought in advance)
    7. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc.) NL Hold'em
    8. Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc. €50 reg plus €20 rebuys and €20 top up (unlimited rebuys for first three levels, one top up at the frist break and freezeout structure after the break)
    9. Cost of registration – €0
    10. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund: ~45%
    10a. Is any money from the prize fund held back for future tournaments, if so, how much?: NO

    23:35 Break - 15 mins (removal of 25 chips & chip race)

    etc...

    16. Blind timeframes: 25 mins for first three levels, 20 mins thereafter.
    17. Places being paid and if any prizes are other than cash (free entry to other tournie, merchandice etc) 10% of field on the night. Prizes for high hand & last lady.
    18. Are there going to be dealers - and their level of skill: yes, professional
    19. Will there be a documented list of rules: yes
    20. Is there a tournament director: yes
    21. How are disputes handled - who has final say. td
    22. Are there any cash games offered, if so, please outline the rake for each limit offered. yes. NL Hold 'Em. rake is 4%, capped at 15 euro.

    Entry to the tournament also gives free entry to the raffle at the first break.
    Prizes for the raffle will be weekends away in various hotels.

    This will be a once off social night of poker.
    This is the reason for no registration fee




    There will be lots of first time players so potenitally lots of value.
