Just in case anyone hasn't heard, it's very likely that the South Equatorial Belt on Jupiter is starting to undergo its revival. There's a bright spot in the SEB at about Jupiter longitude 320 CM II = 290-300 degrees (almost opposite the GRS) with dark spots forming on the preceding side.

Images of it here and here

The white spot should be visible in scopes of about 3" and larger with more detail to be seen in 6"-8" with quality optics and good steady seeing, and the dark spots that will appear over the next few weeks will be visible in pretty much everything.

Over the next few months, the 'missing' belt will return to its normal prominence, and jupiter will have its two main belts back again.
