Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's a bit too broad an answer. If you are getting all of your TV from Sky then yes it will work because the TV you are considering no doubt has SCART (for VCR, DVD and non-HD digital TV) and HDMI (for Blu-Ray player and HD-TV) connectors.

However it will in all probability not work if you decide to scrap Sky and go Freeview or Freesat (for the UK stations) in which case you would need to pick up RTE and the other Irish stations over the air via aerial because the standard for digital terrestrial television (DTT) down here is different (more advanced believe it or not) than the UK standard.

TV's sold in the UK are MPEG-2 compatible, they need to be MPEG-4 to pick up DTT down here but you could go ahead and buy the TV in Newry and if you do need to pick up DTT down here at some point in the future you can always buy a set top box (STB), there should be a good selection available as DTT gets rolled out.
