Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just wondering what ye folks think of the above beemer as a starter bike.
Been getting training from MSA on their school bike and I just love it.
Threw the details into Quinn's online site and the insurance doesn't seem too bad either.

    Positive and negative feedback welcome..
    Cheers,
    GG.

Grand bike for a starter IMO, it'll need restricting though.

Good solid bike, not terribly fast, petrol tank is under the seat which is unusual. Their achilles heal is the steering head bearings go quickly. Look good with panniers...I like 'em and nearly bought one but got addicted to Vespa's instead...:D

Excellent bike - you can't go far wrong there.

My SO had one, but she sold it. She's sorry now........contemplating getting another one.

And it's shockingly light on juice too - 70mpg regularly.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

I'm actually thinking of upgrading to one to do a bit of adventure touring on but a comment like that would have me worried.

How would a bike thats aimed at a certain amount of off-roading have a pretty serious problem like that? Have you heard this from reviews or from experience?

Try a Suzuki V Strom 650 instead, much better bike.

Thanks for all the replies folks.
Yea, been looking over a couple of V Stroms online, nice looking machine.
Also thinking about the Kawasaki Versys.
    Decisions decisions....
I've a feeling the final decision might be made by the insurance company.
I'm assuming any dealer can fit a restriction kit to either of these bikes, yae or na?
