Would anyone happen to know any reliable source in which I can learn music theory from home. Its been years since Iv done music in my leaving and would like to get back to the level of music I was once at.

Books, CD's, DvDs, anything of the sort

While I dont have this book myself, I know from being on a lot of music forums, that this book is highly regarded.

+1 I picked it up in a music shop before and had a skim through it, saw the comic sans and stupid little jokes at the start and threw it back down. But you should just ignore that, it's really good, covers everything and is very easy to understand.
