Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Neura manufacture a self contained heatpump which is located partially buried in the garden, rather than being located internally within a house or shed. I am wondering if anybody can suggest any similar system?

That sounds a bit odd. Isn't one of the main points of Heatpumps in general that any waste heat from the pump gets added as a plus because it is still useful heat to the house ?

Shirley sticking the pump outside would then negate a big chunk of the benefit of using a heatpump, because you're taking a big chunk out of its efficiency ?

You should try to locate a heatpump internally as much as possible, as transfering the energy produced to and from the house causes heat losses no matter how well your flow and return pipes are insulated.
