planting grass seed

    what month of the year would be best to plant grass seed,, i seen loads of different types of grass seed for sale, how can i tell what type to use or what brand,,:D

    Hi...
    Spring and autumn are best for sowing, April/May and September depending on the weather each year...

    As for the best grass it really depends on what you want... they are graded depending on if you want a real fine bowling green, utility lawn, or coarse tough grass. No1, No2 & No3 grades.

    Most people go for a multipurpose No2 grade lawn as it looks well and still takes a good deal of wear and tear..

    As with any lawn preperation is key and if it's a larger lawn expect lots of work to get it right.. :)
