Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Google Chrome Most Visited Picture Issue

    Hi,

Not normally a user of google chrome, I used it on a shared comp as it was the best browser available and I needed to use internet banking with my own comp being on the blink (indefinitely - Acer, I hate you).

Anyway, now I see that it has taken a picture of my account balances as a shot for it's most visited that it shows when you open a new tab. I've tried 'X'ing it - it comes back, tried going to that site again in the hopes the picture will change, tried opening and refreshing a load of other sites to get them to be more popular thus knocking the pic off the page, no luck thus far. I can't turn off the pics for most visited sites completely as this is not my computer therefore the settings are my friend's preferences. What can I do to get rid of this picture so that the owner (and more importantly) all those others who use her computer can't see this information.

Also, is there a way to stop it taking these pictures of specific sites for prevention? Going forward I'll just use cra**y Internet Explorer when checking same on this computer if no one knows a way around this, but I can't leave the existing info there now.

    Thanks for you help!

    Ari

I think that you can pick sites to lock to the most visited thing. Pick eight sites and lock them. It would solve your problem but isn't a very elegant solution.

The easy way is to clear your browsing data from the options menu. You can wipe just the last hour etc after your session.

Also iirc Chrome has a Private Browsing Pr0n mode called incognito.

    :D
Firefox has private browsing mode too, and newer IE has In Private. OP, if you using a shared PC, there's always portable versions of chrome and firefox. Just run them from a USB drive.
