Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Deleting browsing history

I wonder could somebody help me please. I have tried to delete my browsing history by going to 'Saftey'/'Internet Options' and then to 'delete browsing history' but it doesn't seem to do the job. It might remove it from the address bar but the history remains in the search bar (windows live) to the right. How do I totally erase all searching activity?

    Thanks

Download CC Cleaner for free & it will do it for you. As will,I suspect, most of the anti-virus software.

Any ideas on how to get over this problem is appeciated.

Did you have Internet Explorer open when you ran Ccleaner? Could be the case. Close it, update Ccleaner and run it again.

edit: I thought it worked but the history is BACK AGAIN!! What could possibly be wrong?

It seems to be certain searches that would go away. For example on youtube one particular search on that site won't go away whereas the other youtube searches do!

Can I reload Internet Explorer? Would that work?

Try DISK CLEANER and see if it works for you :) (I use this everyday)

    www.diskcleaner.nl/download

Make sure ALL BOXS are checked and then CLEAN... (EXCELLENT PROGRAM)

    Good luck!

I have prevented the history from displaying by unchecking the browsing history box in: internet options - content tab - autocomplete - settings

Obviously the history is still stored on my computer!
