Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

UFH and Domestic Hot Water

    Hi,

I have been looking at the spec of a particular condensing oil boiler manufacturer and it recommends flow and returns of 50C and 40C for use with UFH.
This makes perfect sense to me for the heating, but is 50C hot enough for domestic hot water? I think it needs to be at least 60.

I am wondering how people set their boilers to work for water and underfloor.

To explain...I put it in this section as Solar is being used for the water in the summer.

You'll need to get it to 63C a couple of times a week to kill off legionella

AFAIK the bioler will heat the water to somewhere between 60 & 65 & the UFH system will cool it down by introducing cold water.
