    Hey folks,

For those of you who are interested in Cork's history and, in particular, Cobh's history, there's a new book out called:

'The People's Church. The Story Of St. Colman's Cathedral'
    by Richard T. Cooke. images%3Fq%3Dst.%2Bcolman%2527s%2Bcathedral%2Bcobh%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D532%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=1006&oei=9lPhTL40koqFB83dlOQM&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=47&ty=67

Richard is a prolific historian who has authored many books on Cork's history.

St. Colman's Cathedral is an integral part of Cobh's landscape, as anyone who has been to Cobh can attest. It's bloody huge. You can't miss it.

Richard's book is a unique tour book full of illustrations and it gives a brief but comprehensive view of St. Colman's. It's where the last step of the longest funeral route in the world took place and all.

If people want to read more, the book can be bought at either Michael English's shop in Cobh, or at Quality Print Ltd. on 10 Sheares Street. I think it costs only €4.50, or something.images%3Fq%3Dst.%2Bcolman%2527s%2Bcathedral%2Bcobh%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG%26biw%3D1280%26bih%3D532%26gbv%3D2%26tbs%3Disch:1&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=1006&oei=9lPhTL40koqFB83dlOQM&esq=1&page=1&ndsp=26&ved=1t:429,r:3,s:0&tx=47&ty=67
