Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

They fought a draw in manchester but I felt Damo had done enough to win it. In my notes I had it 10-9, 10-9, 10-10 in favour of Rooney. But it was a very close match. Worthy of a rematch in my opinion.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't 10 - 10 an invalid score under a ten point must system? I thought there had to be a winner in each round, and the loser gets 9 or less. The only way for a draw round was if the winner was docked a point for infringement and the round came in at 9 - 9.
I may be mistaken, someone can point it out to me if I am.

    You did say correct you!
The wording of the must system is confusing. The winner of the round must get 10 and the loser 9 or 8 etc, but what if there is no winner of the round ie a draw? Then both fighters get 10 points. They arent that common but are allowed in the 10 point must system.

    Hope that helps.

john told me it has to be defended once every 6months!!

i seen on older posts that he did say that all titles have to be defended within 6months, but since u have mentioned it he aint cared to respond, so maybe he just chops and changes his mind

Paddy Boylan is going to dominate his weight class in a few years , the guy is first class,

When john started out he was a striker with very limited grappling and a naive striking game, would throw many head kicks etc

now he is a much more rounded fighter and tactically much wiser and way better striker than he was when he had his 1st few fights.

This will be a competitive fight and 1 that will be good to watch from a fans point of view.

Re, Paddy Boylan-i agree, he is the future alright and him and Paddy Holohan is another fight between 2 up and comers and a fight that will be good to watch..

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

Yeah they both are. This should be an interesting match, Dargan is very experienced at TKD (4th Dan) with a massive list of achievement in that sport! He has been doing BJJ with SBG for a year or so.

I have also had some press interest in this fight because Dargan is head doorman at Dublins celebrity club Lillies Bordello.

    Thanks

Apart from 2 all of the fights announced so far are Pro. I will get them updated for you over the holidays.

As for ruleset, We have been using mainly Unified Rules for pro's since July. We are trialing the new GNP C Class rules this time round, whilst I am in favour of them I am also mindful that the majority of northern teams are not. I'm looking at it from different views including problems with match making, clubs saying no etc

Dargan is ITF, used to train in the Exchequer Street gym with Brendan O'Toole and Gerry Martin. Will have useful stand up. A bit of a poser, fancies himself as a lady's man :p:)

Potential fight of the night. Have been impressed with Mihai at Tuffnut shows over the past 18 months, with the right coaching I think he could go all the way.

And on the last show in Kilkenny, Eugene made the most impressive pro debut I have ever seen, fierce standup and gnp, really exciting prospect.

Hey gonna buy tickets for this. What what i remember if the fighter sells the tickets they get a commission or something like that.

Anyway i'm in kildare/carlow so if any fighters from around that area with tickets (ringside x2) want to drop me a pm.

Better then giving ticketmaster their handling fee:rolleyes:
