Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Im trying to find the ibu for some different beers online but cant find them on there own sites or after a google search.
    Is there anyone site that keeps this info? Are ibu measurements reliable?

    Where they're published, chances are RateBeer or the like will have them listed. But nobody goes around testing the IBUs of beers they didn't make.

    IBU's are a useful figure for the brewer, aiding in recipe design and allowing him/her to adjust the amount of hops used to compensate for seasonal variation in hop bittering.

    The IBU figure is a measure (or guestimate, as TheBeerNut correctly pointed out) of the amount of hop derived bittering compounds in a beer. The figure does not measure the perceived bitterness, of a beer, as other factors also influence that perception, making the beer seem more or less bitter to the taste.
