Has anybody tried these? Had it last week for my dinner and all I can say is yum! :)
Basically it comes in a packet like a packet of soup, there is a roasting bag with it. Just chop up some meat and veg, chuck it in the bag with a little water then into an oven proof dish and into the oven for 45 mins.
It is so convenient, I was able to put it in the oven and pop down to the shops and by the time I got back I had a hot, tasty, healthy meal.
Best of all the only washing up I had was the knife, chopping board and oven dish! :)

I meant to buy it today but I forgot :o..old age kicking in!! I saw the ad for it and it does look handy. Is it really tasty? I was thinking of using chicken..what meat did you use? And I wonder would it be nice with no meat..you know just veggies?

It is sooo tasty and filling too! I used beef with the 'Rustic' flavoured one as I had defrosted some steak from the night before so I didn't want to waste it but I didn't have time to do a whole steak dinner like I normally would so I just diced up the steak, threw it into the bag with some carrots and potatoes, added the water, shook it up and in it went into the oven. I think the 'Mediterranean' flavour would be lovely with chicken, peppers and tomatoes, that will be my next adventure!:)
I would say having just veg would be fine as it is well seasoned plus the veg are so tender when them come out, really nice.
My bf isn't a big veg eater and won't touch potatoes and even he cleaned his plate, for that reason alone it gets the thumbs up from me!:)

We've just tried the Mediterranean one and it was gorgeous! I used chicken, tomatoes, courgette, a pepper and served with rice. Big hit, will definitely try it again! Oh and no water required for this one.

Any idea as to the salt content of these packets?

I looked for them in Tesco a few weeks ago and couldn't find any

As for the salt content - probably not good. If I get my hands on one, I'll post back here.

I'm the same, unkel, no idea where Tesco is hiding them (although I've only ever seen UK ads where they're called Coleman's Season and Shake, assuming they're the same thing). Found them in Dunnes last weekend.

The nutritional info is based on a 100g, the pack is only about 30g, give or take.

On sale in Tesco atm for €1

Bought one today and will let you know what I think whenever I'll use it :)

Went on sale in Tesco for a euro so I have about 10!

    Rustic = amazing.
Mediterranean = not so bad but courgette gets a bit sloppy.
Paprika = Waste of time. Just shake a jar of powdered paprika over your chicken.. Same flavour, but cheaper.

And now you tell me :D

Bought the Mediterranean one. Courgette is very watery, so I won't be using it. Might go back to Tesco to get a few Rustic ones based on your recommendation :)

You won't be sorry! I used chicken, parsnips, carrots and potatoes. It came out an absolute treat. Lovely stuff for a quick, mess free dinner. Get a crusty baguette for it to clean up the bowl, will not regret it! :)

I had the paprika one the other night. had it with wedges, salad and coleslaw. absolutely gorgeous and i swear to god, i have NEVER had chicken that juicy! i'll def be tryin the other 2 :D one thing though, it says shake untill the chicken is evenly coated. make sure ya do this coz if it sticks in one place it can be overpowering. and also, piercing holes in the bag does not make the skin crispy like it says on the packet!

I've had all 3 now, and can agree with the above assesements, Rustic is the best, paprika is a waste of time, and mediterranean gets a bit wet.

I'm fairly sure those bags are available separately so it shouldn't be that difficult to figure out a mix of herbs /spices / seasonings to do something similar on your own I'd guess?

Had the mediteranean (sp??) one last week and had the same problem with the courgette. Will be omitting courgette next time. I served it with cous cous.

Just saw an ad for a similar looking product. It's from a brand called Maggi, and is called Maggi So Juicy.

I'd buy one, but my reasoning against it is that the more popular they get, the more Knorr will advertsie them, and the more I will have to look at that ridiculous dancing on every ad break!:D

Haven't tried the paprika (won't bother now!) but the others are yum. I put half a sliced onion and some sliced peppers in with the mediterranean one and it was lovely.

I cut some cold boiled spuds into chunks and mixed with the remaining onion, a few garlic cloves and olive oil in a roasting dish, and they were perfect by the time the chicken was cooked.

Had the med one last night and did it with pork chops, peppers, couple of spuds, red onion, parsnip and carrot. Threw in a little white wine for moisture and it was good!
