AH seems very gloomy at the moment, maybe this will help. :)

    What made you smile today?

I listened to the 'Everybody's Free (To Wear Sunscreen)' song.

My missus told me at dinner time, "You're a really good cook, you know".

I jokingly replied that it was nice of her to notice after all these years, but it not only made me smile, but also glad to know that she still appreciates the little things I do for her.

(I just made myself throw up.)

Got my masters results this morning, absolutely thrilled with them.

Also, my dog threw himself in a huge muck-pool and emerged really happy, completely covered in black mud.

I love really long drives when my boyfriend is driving and I got to go for one today. Today also involved Rice Krispie bun breakfast, visiting my grandad who's the sweetest person ever and the bf buying me spark plugs to 'save me money on petrol', cute.

My mother put my damp jumper from yesterday in front of the fire she made this morning. It was all nice and warm for work. :)

We brought our little lad to bed with us last night. He woke me up at 6 this morning by wrapping his entire body around my head, grabbing fistfuls of my hair and screeching "swish! swish!" (his 7th word, learned from Cat Deeley on the shampoo ad). Not a mellow way to wake up, but a happy one.

My missus is due in a week and a half and she texted me a pic this morning of our 4 month old niece with a baby-gro on its head looking at the camera with the cutest expression ever. Make me look forward to ours and smile at the prospect.

This, blatantly lifted from the "you laugh, you lose" thread.

Worst thing was it was in the middle of the library where I have been all afternoon avoiding writing an essay.

I made a giant batch of cookies yesterday, and I soon as I get home tonight I'm going to devour them all with a giant mug of tea, watch The Wire and get a fire going. Mmmm.... :)

Oh, and this made me laugh too, but in a bittersweet fashion because it's so close to home:
