A bit of constructive criticism never hurt anybody.
Good to see it's back anyway, same line up as last year or have they added?

Same line up bar Khing Thai for obvious reasons. Organiser said they were contacting other vendors but not much has materialised thus far

Great pic. Council planners should look at these photos and think. This beautiful city has so much to offer. The Shannon is one of our biggest assets. Utilize it FFS!

Planning notice on the craft hub unit on lower Cecil street for change of use from retail to cafe/bakery.

Although there is an abundance of cafes in Limerick, this looks to be nicely timed to coincide with the (re)development of the gardens site. Shrewd move, if planning is granted.

That has already been granted actually. Work should be starting soon.

Not strictly new businesses but the new Emergency Department has opened at the hospital, and Castletroy Park Hotel is to get a €6million redevelopment with new bedrooms, a new leisure centre, and a business centre. No Supermacs outlet thank god.

I saw these two planning notices in town earlier (the second one is a little oddball).

The Old Savoy Complex, 13 Bedford Row. Simatron Limited: Change of use on the 1st floor from retail use and the installation of four additional windows on the 1st floor on the South-East Elevation. The status for this application is being listed as incomplete on the councils website.

67 William Street, Limerick (old Curry's premises), Caherdavin & District Credit Union Ltd:
A refurbishment and fit-out providing for a change of use from an electrical retail store to a banking premises at 451m2 over ground and first floor levels; B. the provision of building mounted signage horizontally at ground floor level over the door and in vertical signage at first floor level, and all associated site works.

Leanne Moore is opening a gym at Coonagh Cross. I'm not sure if it's going to be in the same building as Tesco or not.

Oooh that is very exciting news. I think that will do so well. No gym out that side of the city and quality of gyms in Limerick for a supposedly sporting city, are very poor.

Hotel gyms are not proper gyms, and I say that as someone forced to use a hotel gym (The Strand) as it's the best of a very bad bunch.

If the gym can be something along the lines of the body building it will do extremely well out that side. Most people I know are members of the local gyms mainly down to convenience rather than quality.
