Mea culpa, I omitted the pastry shop, cheese shop, Supermacs and the Casino! Like I say it gets classier and classier.

I dunno man...put them all together and there is a savage night out.

what exactly do you want like ?

The unit between chocolat and timberland has a planning notice on the door for change of use for a portion of the unit from retail to restaurant.

I can't wait for the cheese shop tbh, hoping it's on a par with the one down in Dingle :-)

Just saw a girl with a few shopping bags, Zara etc and an Aeropostale bag too. I have a vague recollection of someone saying it was opening in limerick?

Xti Shoe shop in the Crescent are using the Aeropostale bags. I recently bought shoes there and was given such a bag, I thought it was strange!

These guys were open today, fairly sure they only opened for the first time at lunch time.
Only had a coffee but will pop back in for lunch next time, prices around 7 to 8 euro.

Looks like another Thai place is going in beside the Glen Tavern where Khing Thai was. Probfably too much to expect it’ll be up to the same high standard.

Do they even have shops looking to go in? There was rumours of what shops were going in but I can't remember ever seeing solid announcements of who.

No but I can't imagine they would have added on all that space without interested parties? Unless they thought it would attract people after it was completed?

Maybe they're waiting for (I hate to say it) Christmas season for max boost? But really I find it odd nothing has been said, still. Looks like it was a premature move.

I went down to have look when in the crescent. Went all the way outside down the mall I never go down seeing as I drive and always park under River Island.

Can't see myself going out there again as they are small units so likely cafes or similar.

Interior units just say new tenants coming but they're finished to why isn't there someone in there?

I think they could be waiting for Christmas like brighterdays said. How long does it take for a new business to set up shop there? Less than a week? They'll make a killing around the Christmas period, whoever they are.

Anyone know what's going in to the unit between AIB and chocolate restaurant in O'Connell st. I walk past every day and there is certainly a lot of work going on inside over the past 3 weeks. Saw some kind of delivery going in on Friday. Costcutter was there for awhile. Wonder if that's where the new Gala is going?

It's going to be another restaurant.

Passed Katy Dalys yesterday on Castle Street across from King Johns, big crew of workmen in there with the place under construction. Heard an inkling that The Locke Bar crew have it bought and are refurbishing it. That really is a lovely, quaint part of town hopefully we see more openings up along there, its underrated and has lots of footfall with the tourists etc

Yeah they've bought it and gutted the whole place nearly, can see them doing really well in that part of the city with the castle across the way.

Gala convenience store has opened in the old Vivo premises beside Scott's on Courtbrack ave.

Spotted a sign at the roundabout for coffee late last night, just sent herself in for a look, will report back!
They've also out Gala branding (Joe's butchery and food hall) on the side of Scott's...

Spotted that too. Best of luck to Joe whomever he is. I can't see it hitting Casey's on the dock road too hard though. Maybe when the students return it will do ok but when I was in Mary I we never went over there for food. If we left it was to go towards town direction.

Popped in a few minutes ago myself and they have a pretty impressive selection of goods, a deli counter and an ice cream counter :)

I do hope it does well, it suits me from a convenience point of view, I'd go to the Spar at the garage near Punch's Cross up to now but this place is much closer

I hope Scotts opens again. Spent many an underage night there. The look on the door staff and bar staffs face when I had my 18th there was priceless.

The best day of rag week was the Monday spent in Scott's. Great memories for me too. Was a good spot for a good carvery on a Sunday when the hangover was strong.

In typical Limerick fashion, Burritos and Blues and Tolteca will also be open for business by Christmas.

Hook and Ladder are opening a new cafe/restaurant. Not sure where yet but I suspect it might be in the Raheen/Dooradoyle side.

Saw that on their FB alright. They said the person who guessed Ballysimon Rd was closest but too far out.

I would suggest near the new courthouse complex ? There will be a good market there and, the last time I passed up that way, there was a vacant unit that used to be a restaurant just a few doors up from Gleeson Sports. Might it be that ?
