They actually have some decent roles advertised on Indeed at the moment, from a glance:

    Research Analyst
    Research Designer
    Support Specialist - (Football)
    Production Manager - (Football)
    Field Operations Manager
    IT Helpdesk

Must throw in an application myself! Anybody know where they are located?

Nice one- Cheers for that. Their website doesn't have them listed at all.

Wouldn't know about location but it says Limerick City.

Hoping to get away from Castletroy to be honest for work

That sounds like the smoking area, which has been there for years. Last time I was in they were putting in a door at the bottom of the stairs in the smoking area into the extension. Was that open?

    That's the regular smoking area.

They're building/opening a warehouse esque venue next door.

Oops, hadn't been in there in ages!

    Where's that opening?

Where Bentley’s was on O’Connell Street.

Was surprised House never took that...what with it being more of a house than their current premises. Would be more like their premises in Dublin...albeit a bit smaller.

IN THE shade of the Gardens International site, Limerick’s newest night spot is a hive of activity, as furniture is hauled in and fixtures fitted.

One Hundred & One, named for its address at 101 O’Connell Street, is set to open its doors this weekend, but the full development won’t be completed until next year.

The latest in a string of city centre bar openings this year, 101 — in the building that once housed Bentley’s — is primed to be more than just a pub, with dozens employed.

An endeavour by James Lennon and Tony Enright of Smyth’s Icon and Angel Lane, with Pharmacia's Mike Warner also on board, 101 is due to open the first two of its five bars in total, the underground basement bar and the split-level ‘secret garden’ outdoor courtyard, which will be adorned with walls of greenery and faux grass underfoot.

By mid- to late-2018, it will boast at least five different bars, including a piano bar, a boardroom bar and what was originally Bentley’s main bar, spread across several floors and the garden.

To the rear of the property, a mews house on Post Office lane — also owned by 101 — will become a coffee shop that leads through to the garden, which has an electronic roof that closes automatically when it starts to rain. Inside, the overall theme takes its trendy inspiration from the Prohibition era and the TV show Peaky Blinders.

“The Gardens site will be very important to us when it opens,” said Mr Enright.

This weekend, management at House Limerick on Howley’s Quay, are also set to reopen the nightclub below the bar where the Sin Bin was once located as a new venue called Amber.

Have been keeping an eye on this myself - one thing worth noting though....it sounds like a lot of the work will be based around match times, so a lot of evening/weekend work which won't suit a lot of people I guess

In recent years though, the lifecycle of these new pubs etc seems to be short.

Good our "lads night out" is next weekend so at least there'll be competition. Last year stuffed in a doorway in "Big" Flannerys was not comfortable at all. Choices were limited, hopefully extra competition will thin out the herd of people out at weekends.

But we're still a Thurs-Sat city. The city is dead during the week.

I would say that they are on prospecting lists for most companies in the region as they provide companies with nearly guaranteed volume sales on food and drink. You've to cut off your nose to supply them I'm sure but they're on everyones hit list.

In January when Sales Reps get thrown out of Sales Meetings to start a good 2018 I'd say Smyths is mobbed with Reps hour after hour.

Ah I didn't realise they were going for a late bar set up in there, thought it was slated to be more of a music venue.

I heard people saying another bar opened up around there as well lately?

Cork is pretty much the same outside of the student venues, was in Galway midweek recently and was it was very quiet.

Symantics, but I don't care what's on that article. There's one boss and one owner there and it's Tony that's all.

I know because the work is being carried out by my crew of lads

Also in Galway midweek on a few occasions recently, with virtually nobody out. For some reason, people are over critical of limerick nightlife which is busier than most places.
